Media Center features for people who are blind or have impaired vision
For people who are blind or have impaired vision, Media Center supports many of the accessibility features in Windows XP. However,
Media Center has some limitations when you use High C ontrast or some text-to-speech tools and screen magnifiers. In addition, if you
adjust the cursor blink rate or cursor width in Windows Settings, then the changes will not be displayed in Media C enter. Use the
following links for information about each feature:
High C ontrast
Text-to-speech tools
Screen magnifiers
Descriptive Video Service
The accessibility tools that ship with Media Center are intended to provide a minimum level of functionality for users with special needs.
Most users with disabilities will need utility programs with more advanced functionality for daily use. For information about accessibility
products and accessibility aids for Windows XP operating systems, see the accessibility page on the Microsoft Web site.
