Shooting Still Images

The exposure and focus are adjusted automatically to the center of the display because the player

has the AE/AF (automatic exposure/automatic focus) function. The minimum focus distance to the

subject is 50 cm (20 inches). When the distance to the subject is less than 50 cm, use the macro

recording mode (



page 32).

Slide to open the lens cover in the direction of the arrow.

The player is in the shooting mode. When the player is turned off while the lens cover is

open, press / .

Hold the player steadily with both hands and position the subject in the center

of the display.

Do not cover the lens or ﬂash with your ﬁngers.
