Red Eye Reduction
A flash (sold separately) strobes 2 or more
times before shooting to reduce the red-eye
phenomenon.
This item is available in still image
recording mode only.

Does not use Red Eye Reduction.

phenomenon.
Notes
Turn on the power of a flash (sold separately)
attached to use Red Eye Reduction.
Red Eye Reduction may not produce the desired
effects. It depends on individual differences and
conditions, such as distance to the subject, or if
the subject looked away from the pre-strobe.
There are certain flash units that you cannot use
with Red Eye Reduction. For the compatibility
of a particular flash unit, consult your Sony
dealer or local authorized Sony service facility.
Tips
Pupils become dilated in dark environments.
Flash light is reflected off the blood vessels at
the back of the eye (retina), causing the “red-
eye” phenomenon.
Wind Noise Reduct.
You can record a movie with less wind
noise by cutting the low-frequency sound
input from the built-in microphone.
Off
Disables wind noise reduction.

Enables wind noise reduction.
Audio Mode
You can change the recording sound
format.
5.1ch Surround (
)
Records sound in 5.1ch surround.
2ch Stereo (
)
Records sound in 2ch stereo.
Notes
Only applicable for the built-in microphone.
Audio Rec Level
You can adjust the volume when recording.

Returns to the normal level.
Tips
We recommend that you use headphones to
check the level when adjusting the setting.
Set a lower level to naturally capture continuous
loud sound. To capture quieter sound at an
easy-to-hear level, increase this setting.
The limiter is always working regardless of the
Audio Rec Level setting.
This function is not available when using an
audio input device connected to the multi
interface shoe.
Guide Frame
You can display the frame and check that
the subject is horizontal or vertical.
The frame is not recorded.
Off
Does not display the guide frame.
On
Displays the guide frame.
