then select the distance to the
subject with v/V.
You can select from the following
distance settings.
0.5m, 1.0m, 3.0m, 7.0m,
(unlimited
distance)
To return to auto focus mode
In step 3, select 9 (Focus), then select
[Multi AF] or [Center AF].
(Metering Mode) is not displayed on the
menu of the DSC-P32.
Focal point information may not show the exact
distance. Use it as a guide.
If you point the lens up or down, the error
increases (DSC-P72 only).
Adjusting the
exposure
– EV adjustment
Mode selector: /
Used when you want to change the
automatic exposure to one of your own
choice. The value can be set a range from
+2.0EV to –2.0EV, in 1/3EV increments.
Before operation
When shooting still images, set
(Camera) to any mode other than [Auto] in
the menu settings (page 27).

b Press MENU.
The menu appears.
c Select (EV) with b/B.
The value of the exposure adjustment
is displayed.
d Select the exposure
adjustment value.
Select the exposure adjustment value
with
v/V.
Make your adjustment while
confirming the brightness of the
background of the subject on the LCD
screen.
To return to auto adjust mode
Return the exposure adjustment value to
0EV.
(Metering Mode) is not displayed on the
menu of the DSC-P32.
When the subject is extremely bright or
extremely dark, or when you are using the
flash, the adjustment may not work.
