Setting up and enjoying the
Speaker Add function
1 Bring the two MHC-V41D
systems within 1 meter of each
other.
2 Press BLUETOOTH on System
and to select the BLUETOOTH
function.
“BLUETOOTH” appears on the
display.
3 Connect System and the
BLUETOOTH device via a
BLUETOOTH connection
(page41).
4 Launch “Sony | Music Center”
and follow the on-screen
instructions to set up
Speaker Add for System and
System .
“HOST” appears on the display of
the System , and “GUEST”
appears on the display of the
System .
5 Set the output mode using
“Sony | Music Center” on your
smartphone/iPhone.
Double mode: outputs stereo
sound from both systems.
Stereo mode - right: outputs
right-channel monaural sound
from System , and left-channel
monaural sound from System .
Stereo mode - left: outputs
left-channel monaural sound
from System , and right-
channel monaural sound from
System .
6 Start playback on the
BLUETOOTH device, and adjust
the volume.

on a BLUETOOTH device”
(page42).
Note
If you use the microphone or play a guitar
on the Host system, the sound will not be
output from the Guest system.
Synchronization of settings with
Speaker Add
When a Speaker Add connection
has been established, the following
settings on the Guest system are
synchronized with those on the Host
system:
Volume setting
Mega Bass setting
Sound Field and Custom EQ
setting
DJ Effect setting
Party Light and Light Mode setting
When the settings above are
changed on either the Host system
or the Guest system, the settings on
the other system are synchronized.
When the Host system is turned off,
the Guest system also turns off.
Note
If you reset one of the two systems
while using the Speaker Add function,
make sure to turn off the other system.
If you do not turn off the other system
before restarting the Speaker Add
function, there may be problems
making a BLUETOOTH connection or
outputting sound.
