Enjoying Karaoke
Changing the Key (Key
Control)
You can change the key to suit your vocal range.
While playing karaoke, press one of the KEY CONTROL
buttons repeatedly to find the key that suits your vocal
range.
Press KEY CONTROL or KEY in karaoke mode.
To Press
raise the key (or + on the remote)
lower the key (or – on the remote)
return to the original key
You can adjust the key in 17 steps (8 steps higher, 8 steps
lower and the original key).
zYou can change the key using “KEY CONTROL in the Karaoke
Control Menu display
Select “KEY CONTROL” in the Karaoke Control Menu, change
the key using ?//, and then press ENTER.
To use the Karaoke Control Menu, see “Displaying the Karaoke
Control Menu” on page 39.
Note
The key automatically returns to the original key when the title
or track changes.
Playing Karaoke with Any
Stereo Disc (Karaoke Pon)
You can enjoy karaoke with a stereo-recorded disc, even if
it is a non-karaoke disc, by reducing the vocal.
Press KARAOKE PON in karaoke mode.
To cancel the Karaoke Pon function
Press KARAOKE PON again.
zYou can turn on and off the Karaoke Pon function using
“KARAOKE PON” in the Karaoke Control Menu display
Select “KARAOKE PON” in the Karaoke Control Menu, select
“ON” or “OFF” using >/., and then press ENTER.
To use the Karaoke Control Menu, see “Displaying the Karaoke
Control Menu” on page 39.
Notes
• The stereo effect will be reduced.
• This function may not work well in the following cases:
- only a few instruments are playing
- a duet is playing
- the vocal on the disc deviates from the center
- monaural-recorded discs (the accompaniment is also
reduced)
- multiplex discs
