What is the “InfoLITHIUM” battery pack?

It is a lithium ion battery pack which can exchange data related

to its consumption with compatible electronic devices. We

recommend that you only use the “InfoLITHIUM” battery pack

with electronic devices that have the

logo.

If you use this battery pack with an electronic device that does

not have the

logo, the remaining battery capacity

will not be indicated in minutes.*

e remaining battery capacity may not be indicated correctly

depending on the conditions and environment of use.

How to use

Charging (See illustration



)

During charging, the LEDs light up one by one in order by

“Check Charging”.

LEDs remain lit until normal charge is completed (more than

90%). (ey cannot be turned o during charging.)

e LEDs are not lit from when normal charge is completed

until full charge is completed. e battery is fully charged

about 1 hour aer normal charge is completed.

If your camcorder has a charging lamp, it goes out when full

charge or normal charge is completed.

For details, please see the operating instructions of your

camcorder.

We recommend charging the battery pack in an ambient

temperature range of 10°C to 30°C (50°F to 86°F). e battery

may not be eectively charged outside this temperature range.



Note

When charging the battery aer a long period of non-use, the

LEDs may not light up immediately aer charging starts or

during charging. is is not a malfunction.





Remaining battery time indicator

When charging in a battery charger (e.g. BC-VM50), pushing

makes the LED light up.

When a VIDEO LIGHT (e.g. HVL-20DM, HVL-IRM) is used,

makes the LED light up.

CAUTION

If the battery pack is mishandled, the battery pack can burst,

cause a re or even chemical burns. Observe the following

cautions.

Do not disassemble.

Do not crush and do not expose the battery pack to any shock

or force such as hammering, dropping or stepping on it.

Do not short circuit and do not allow metal objects to come

into contact with the battery terminals. (See illustration

Do not expose to high temperature above 60 °C (140 °F) such

as in direct sunlight or in a car parked in the sun.

Do not incinerate or dispose of in re.

Do not handle damaged or leaking lithium ion batteries.

Be sure to charge the battery pack using a genuine Sony

battery charger or a device that can charge the battery pack.

Keep the battery pack out of the reach of small children.

Keep the battery pack dry.

Replace only with the same or equivalent type recommended

by Sony.

Dispose of used battery packs promptly as described in the

instructions.

Refer to the operating instructions of your electronic device

for further details.

Eective use of the battery pack

Battery pack performance decreases in low-temperature

surroundings, reducing the time the battery pack can be used.

To conserve battery power, we recommend that you keep

the battery pack warm, for example in your pocket, and only

insert it in your electronic device just before use.

Have spare battery packs handy for two or three times the

expected recording time, and do a trial recording before actual

recording.

If the power goes o even though the remaining battery time

shows the battery pack has enough power to operate, charge

the battery pack fully again so that the correct remaining

battery time is shown. Note that the remaining battery time is

sometimes not restored if used at high temperatures for a long

time or if le in a fully charged state, or if the battery pack is

frequently used. Regard the remaining battery time shown as

the approximate shooting time.

How to store the battery pack

If the battery pack is not used for a long time, once a year fully

charge it and then fully use it up on your electronic device before

storing in a dry, cool place.

Battery life

e battery life is limited. If the remaining battery time is

considerably shortened, the battery pack is reaching the end of

its life. Replace it with a new one.

e battery life of each battery pack varies according to the

storage method, operating conditions and environment.

Compensation for recorded content

Recorded content cannot be compensated for if recording or

playback is disabled due to a malfunction of the battery pack or

other devices.

You do not have to discharge the battery pack before

recharging.

Charging the battery pack while some charge remains does not

aect the original battery capacity.

Emploi

Recharge (Voir l’illustration

)

Pendant la recharge, les diodes s’éclairent l’une après l’autre

grâce au contrôle de la charge.

Les diodes restent éclairées jusqu’à la n de la recharge

normale (plus de 90%). (Elles ne peuvent pas s’éteindre

pendant la recharge.)

Les diodes ne restent pas éclairées entre la recharge normale

et la recharge complète. Après la recharge normale, il faut

attendre environ 1 heure pour que la batterie soit pleine.

Si vous rechargez la batterie sur un caméscope muni d’un

témoin de charge, ce témoin s’éteint après la recharge complète

ou la recharge normale.

Pour le détail, veuillez vous reporter au mode d’emploi de

votre caméscope.

Il est conseillé de recharger la batterie à une température

ambiante de 10°C à 30°C (50°F à 86°F). La batterie peut ne pas

se recharger ecacement hors de cette plage de températures.



Remarque

Si vous rechargez la batterie après une longue période

d’inutilisation, les diodes risquent ne pas s’éclairer

immédiatement au début de la recharge ou pendant la recharge.

C’est normal.

Pour vérier l’autonomie de la batterie

L’autonomie de la batterie est indiquée par 4 diodes.

Il faut appuyer sur le bouton de contrôle d’autonomie (PUSH)



pour allumer la diode

Remarques

ATTENTION

Toute erreur de manipulation de la batterie peut provoquer son

explosion, entraîner un incendie, voire même des brûlures de

substances chimiques. Respectez les précautions suivantes:

Ne démontez pas la batterie.

N’écrasez et n’exposez pas la batterie à des chocs ou à une force

extérieure. Vous ne devez pas la frapper avec un marteau, la

laisser tomber ou marcher dessus.

Emploi optimal de la batterie

La performance de la batterie diminue à basse température,

ce qui réduit le temps d’utilisation de la batterie. Pour utiliser

plus longtemps la batterie, nous vous conseillons de la garder

au chaud, par exemple dans votre poche, et de l’insérer dans

votre appareil électronique juste avant de lmer.

Emportez toujours des batteries de rechange pour disposer de

Si le caméscope s’éteint bien que l’autonomie de la batterie

indiquée soit apparemment susante, rechargez complètement

la batterie une nouvelle fois de sorte que l’autonomie soit

indication exacte, si la batterie est utilisée à une haute

température pendant longtemps, si elle est laissée

Comment ranger la batterie

Si la batterie ne doit pas être utilisée pendant un certain temps,

rechargez-la et videz-la complètement sur votre appareil

Richtige Verwendung

Während des Ladevorgangs leuchten die LEDs einzeln der

Reihe nach durch „Ladung prüfen“ auf.

LEDs leuchten weiter, bis die Normallladung fertiggestellt

ist (über 90%). (Sie können nicht während des Ladens

ausgeschaltet werden.)

Die LEDs leuchten nicht von dem Zeitpunkt der Fertigstellung

der Normalladung, bis die Vollladung fertig ist. Der Akku

ist etwa 1 Stunde nach Fertigstellung der Normalladung voll

geladen.



Wenn Ihr Camcorder ein Ladelämpchen hat, erlischt dieses,

wenn die Vollladung oder Normalladung fertig ist.

Einzelheiten siehe Bedienungsanleitung Ihres Camcorders.

Wir empfehlen, den Akku bei Umgebungstemperaturen von

10°C bis 30°C zu laden. Der Akku wird außerhalb dieses

Temperaturbereichs möglicherweise nicht wirksam geladen.

Beachten Sie bitte die folgenden Hinweise.

Zerlegen Sie den Akku nicht.

Setzen Sie den Akku keinen Stößen, Schlägen usw. aus,

quetschen Sie ihn nicht, lassen Sie ihn nicht fallen und achten

Halten Sie Gegenstände aus Metall von den Akkuanschlüssen

Schützen Sie den Akku vor Feuchtigkeit.

Tauschen Sie den Akku nur gegen den gleichen oder einen

vergleichbaren Akkutyp aus, der von Sony empfohlen wird.

Entsorgen Sie verbrauchte Akkus unverzüglich wie in den

Anweisungen erläutert.

Für optimalen Betrieb des Akkus

Die Leistungsfähigkeit des Akkus verringert sich bei

niedrigen Temperaturen, wodurch die Betriebszeit des Akkus

abnimmt. An kalten Orten empfehlen wir deshalb, den Akku

beispielsweise in Ihrer Tasche warm zu halten und erst kurz

vor dem Betrieb in das Gerät einzusetzen.

Halten Sie Ersatzakkus für das Zwei- bis Dreifache der

erwarteten Aufnahmedauer bereit und machen Sie vor der

eigentlichen Aufnahme eine Probeaufnahme.

Wenn sich das Gerät ausschaltet, obwohl der Akku laut

Akkurestzeitanzeige noch nicht leer ist, laden Sie den Akku

erneut vollständig auf. Danach wird die richtige Akkurestzeit

angezeigt. Beachten Sie, dass die Akkurestzeit möglicherweise

nicht stimmt, wenn der Akku längere Zeit bei hohen

Umgebungstemperaturen betrieben wird, wenn ein vollständig

geladener Akku längere Zeit nicht verwendet wird oder wenn

der Akku bereits sehr häug verwendet wurde. Betrachten Sie

die Akkurestzeitanzeige lediglich als groben Richtwert für die

verbleibende Aufnahmedauer.

Aufbewahrung des Akkus

Wenn Sie den Akku sehr lange Zeit nicht verwenden, laden Sie

ihn einmal im Jahr vollständig auf und betreiben Sie dann ein

elektronisches Gerät mit dem Akku, bis er wieder leer ist, bevor

Sie ihn an einem kühlen, trockenen Ort ablegen.
