Using M2 USB Adaptor
Operating environment

Connecting M2 USB Adaptor to the computer
is Adaptor operates with the OS standard equipment driver. is USB
Adaptor can be used as a “Removable Drive” simply by connecting to the
USB port.
Connect this Adaptor according to the following steps.
For Windows users
1. Insert the M2
™
media into this Adaptor. (illustration )
2. Connect this Adaptor to the USB port of the computer.
3. Open “My Computer” (“Computer” on Windows Vista).
4. Check that a newly recognized “Removable Drive (X:)” icon has appeared.
e drive letter (X:) varies depending on the computer.
For Mac OS users
Connection is complete when the disc icon of this Adaptor appears on the
desktop.
e disc icon of USB Adaptor will not appear on the desktop if there is no
M2
™
media inserted in USB Adaptor.
When the Removable disk icon is not displayed, disconnect any other USB
device or turn o the power and reboot the computer.

For Windows users
1 Conrm that the access lamp of this USB Adaptor is not ashing.
2 Remove this USB Adaptor.
For Mac OS users
1 Conrm that the access lamp of this USB Adaptor is not ashing.
2 Move the disk icon of this USB Adaptor to the trash icon to remove.

Raccordement de l’adaptateur USB M2 à l’ordinateur

Lorsque l’icône du disque amovible n’est pas achée, débranchez tout autre
périphérique USB ou éteignez et redémarrez l’ordinateur.

Es empehlt sich, von wichtigen Daten eine Sicherungskopie anzulegen.
Für beschädigte Daten oder Datenverlust übernimmt Sony keine Haung.
In folgenden Fällen können aufgezeichnete Daten beschädigt werden oder
verloren gehen:
Wenn Sie beim Formatieren oder beim Lesen oder Schreiben von
Daten bzw. bei blinkender Zugrisanzeige (Abbildung ) den M2

Datenträger oder den USB-Adapter herausnehmen oder den Computer
ausschalten.

-Datenträger oder der USB-Adapter statischer Elektrizität
oder elektrischen Störstrahlungen ausgesetzt ist.
Wenn der M2

-Datenträger oder der USB-Adapter anders als angegeben
verwendet wird.
Halten Sie den Adapter am Gehäuse, wenn Sie ihn vom Computer lösen.
Verwendung des M2-USB-Adapters
Betriebsumgebung
Für den Betrieb werden die folgenden Umgebungen empfohlen.

Der Betrieb kann auch bei Computern mit der empfohlenen Umgebung
nicht gewährleistet werden.
Die oben genannten Betriebssysteme müssen werkseitig auf dem Computer
installiert sein.
Der Betrieb kann nicht gewährleistet werden, wenn ein anderes (nicht im
Standardlieferumfang des PCs enthaltenes) USB-Gerät und dieser USB-
Adapter gleichzeitig verwendet werden.
Der Betrieb kann nicht gewährleistet werden, wenn der Datenträger und
der USB-Adapter an einen USB-Hub angeschlossen werden.
Die USB-Verbindung wird möglicherweise nicht wiederhergestellt,
wenn der Computer vom Standby- oder Ruhezustand wieder in den
Normalbetrieb geschaltet wird.
Der Adapter ist USB 2.0-kompatibel.
Anschließen des M2-USB-Adapters an den Computer
Dieser Adapter arbeitet mit den Standardgerätetreibern des Betriebssystems.
Schließen Sie den USB-Adapter einfach an einen USB-Anschluss an, um ihn
als „Austauschbaren Datenträger“ zu verwenden.
Führen Sie zum Anschließen des Adapters die folgenden Schritte aus.

1. Setzen Sie den M2

Datenträger (X:)“ angezeigt wird.

Der Adapter ist richtig angeschlossen, wenn das Disc-Symbol für den Adapter
auf dem Desktop erscheint.
Das Disc-Symbol für den USB-Adapter wird nur auf dem Desktop
angezeigt, wenn ein M2

-Datenträger in den USB-Adapter eingesetzt ist.
Wenn das Symbol für den austauschbaren Datenträger nicht angezeigt wird,
trennen Sie alle anderen USB-Geräte vom Computer oder schalten Sie den
Computer aus und starten Sie ihn neu.
